UR 1106, Spandex Protector (Spandex Protective Agent)
UR 1106, Spandex Protector (Spandex Protective Agent) is a special additive developed specifically for dyeing fabrics containing spandex. It effectively prevents damage to spandex during the dyeing process caused by high temperatures, strong alkalis, or oxidizing environments, maintaining its elasticity and strength.
By chelating metal ions, buffering pH, and providing antioxidant protection, it significantly improves dyeing safety and stability.
UR 1106, Spandex Protector (Spandex Protective Agent) is suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure or normal-temperature dyeing processes of spandex-containing blended fabrics such as polyester-spandex and nylon-spandex. It can be added to the dye bath before dyeing and is compatible with mainstream process formulations.
It can be widely used in knitting mills, weft knitting plants, and manufacturers of sportswear and underwear fabrics, and is particularly suitable for functional and intimate apparel products such as yoga wear, swimwear, and shapewear.

Introduction
UR 1106 Spandex Protector( Spandex Protective Agent) can be used to prevent shrinkage and breakage of the elastic lycra yarn in spandex elastic fabrics. Additionally, when used on soft fabrics, it can prevent fiber displacement and improve drape.
Features and Advantages
● Provides excellent anti-slip properties on regenerated cellulose fibers, high wet modulus viscose fibers, polyester fibers, nylon fibers, and cotton blends
● Prevents loss of elasticity and strength in elastic denim garments or fabrics during de-sizing, enzymatic washing (cellulase), chlorine bleaching, or resin finishing.
● Used in the pretreatment for dyeing raw elastic fabric to prevent loss of elasticity and strength in spandex
● Exhibits excellent heat resistance and will not cause yellowing.
● During washing, it prevents the spandex elastic yarn from separating and slipping off from the wrapping yarn, exhibiting excellent adhesion and penetrating into the fiber to provide fixation and protection.
● Does not contain APEO, formaldehyde, VOCs, or other restricted substances
● It is anionic and should not be mixed with cationic products. No pH adjustment is required during application.

Application
1. Denim Desizing, Enzyme Washing, and Chlorine Bleaching Process
De-sizing: 0.5-1 g/L
Enzyme Washing: 0.5-1 g/L
Chlorine Bleaching: 0.5-1 g/L
a. De-sizing and enzyme washing of denim
Firstly add 0.5-1 g/L of UR 1106 spandex protector to the water. Run the water at 30-70℃ for 5 minutes without draining. Proceed directly with the normal de-sizing, enzyme washing, and chlorine bleaching procedures.
UR 1106 spandex protector is anionic and does not require the addition of any acid to neutralize the pH. (Note: It will react with chlorine bleach.)
b. Before de-sizing the raw fabric, add 0.5-1 g/L of UR 1106 spandex protector to the water and run the solution at 30-95℃ for 5 minutes. Then continue the normal de-sizing procedure without draining the solution. This process helps protect the elasticity of the spandex.
c. White fabric dyeing process: Before dyeing, pretreat the white fabric with UR 1106 spandex protector (0.5-1 g/L) for 3-5 minutes at 30-95℃. No draining is required.
Then proceed with dyeing.
d. The typical dosage of this UR 1106 spandex protector is 0.5-1 g/L, depending on the fiber type and elasticity requirements.
2. Garment Pretreatment Bleaching and Dyeing Process:
De-sizing: 0.5-1 g/L
Bleaching: 0.5-1 g/L
Dyeing: 0.5-1 g/L
Note: UR 1106 spandex protector should be added before each process to ensure even absorption by the fabric before adding other auxiliaries.

Standard packaging: 125kg/plastic barrel
Storage
To ensure extend shelf life, store UR 1106 spandex protector at 25 ℃ or below in a sealed container, shelf life 6 months.
