Definition of Enzyme Activity

Enzyme activity of cellulase is defined that under certain temperature, pH rate and reaction time, the rate at which a unit volume (or unit mass) of enzyme preparation catalyzes a specific cellulose substrate (such as filter paper, cellulose, cotton fabric, etc.) to produce products with reducing ends (mainly glucose or reducing sugars).

The measurement of cellulase enzyme activity is usually expressed as: the amount of enzyme required to catalyze the production of 1 micromole (μmol) of reducing sugar (measured in current equivalents) per minute per milliliter (or per gram) of enzyme preparation, which is defined as one “unit” (U).

That is: 1 U/mL = 1 μmol glucose equivalent / (min·mL enzyme)

Introduction

UR NZYME 7100 is a highly concentrated, neutral cellulase powder produced through submerged liquid fermentation. It is engineered to deliver premium wash effects on denim garments, characterized by pronounced fabric grain, high contrast, and minimal back-staining. This enzyme exhibits excellent performance across a broad spectrum of temperatures and pH levels, with an effective operating temperature range of 30°C to 60°C.

Performance

• Wide Operating Window:
Effective across a temperature range of 40°C – 90°C and a pH range of 6.5 – 9.0

• Premium Wash Results:

• Optimal Recommendation:
For the best balance of graining, contrast, and cleanness, recommend use at 60 – 95°C

Application

UR NZYME 7100 is a pure concentrated neutral cellulase, normally not direct use, but use after reformulation with buffers, anti-stain agents and filler etc.

The recommended dosage of original UR NZYME 7100 for the formulation is 3% to 7%

Packaging

Storage

Suggest to store UR NZYME 7100 at 25 ℃ or below in a sealed container to keep the longer stability
