UR 1929, Wet Rubbing fastness Enhancer
This UR 1929, Wet Rubbing fastness Enhancer is an additive specifically developed to improve the color fastness of textiles.
It is primarily used to improve the friction fastness of fabrics in wet conditions, effectively preventing fading and color transfer caused by washing or friction.
The product is applied to dyed or printed fabrics through padding or finishing processes. It forms a protective film on the fiber surface, strengthening the bond between the dye and the fiber, thereby significantly improving wet friction fastness.
This product is suitable for a variety of fabrics, including cotton, linen, viscose, silk, polyester, and their blends. Introduction
UR 1929 Wet Rubbing Fastness Enhancer is suitable for low-temperature drying conditions in garment washing factories, addressing the problem of poor film formation during low-temperature drying in denim washing processes. This product can improve wet rubbing fastness by 1-2 grades under low-temperature drying conditions of 60-70℃.
Typical Properties
● Appearance: Light yellow to yellow transparent liquid (which darkens upon prolonged storage).
● pH: 4.0±1.0（50g/l）
● Solubility: Easily dispersed in tap water at any ratio
● Ionicity: Weak Cationic
Features and Advantages
● Free of formaldehyde and APEO, making it an environmentally friendly product
● It is used for post-dyeing fixation treatment of cellulose fibers; it can significantly improve wet rubbing fastness, increasing it by 1-2 grades (to above grade 3) at a drying temperature of 60-80℃.
● Easy to use, simply dilute with water.
● Can be used in the same bath with small amounts of silicone oil and softening agents.
Application Scope
Suitable for cotton, blended fabrics, and denim.
Usage and Dosage
Depending on the type and concentration of the dye used, and the type and form of the fabric being treated, the application methods are as follows:
1. Dipping Method (for laundry factories only)
Dosage: UR 1929 Wet Rubbing Fastness Enhancer: 3-5% (o.w.f.) (adjust according to color depth)
Bath ratio: 1:10-20
Process: Dyed fabric (pH≤7) → Dipping (room temperature, time: 20-30 min) → Drying (60-80℃)
2. Padding Method
Dosage: UR 1929 Wet Rubbing Fastness Enhancer: 30-50 g/L.
Process: Dyed fabric (pH≤7) → One dip and one padding (padding rate: 80-85%) → Drying

Storage and Shelf Life
Product keeps valid for 6 months, and shall store the product in cool and dry place.
Precautions
1. Please use the prepared solution immediately after preparation. Thorough sample testing should be conducted before use. The above process is for reference only.
2. Avoid using this UR 1929 Wet Rubbing Fastness Enhancer in the same bath with fixing agents. If same bath is necessary, compatibility testing must be performed before large-scale production.
3. Can not use this UR 1929 Wet Rubbing Fastness Enhancer in the same bath with anionic auxiliaries.
4. Before using this UR 1929 Wet Rubbing Fastness Enhancer, shall make ensure the fabric is thoroughly cleaned of alkali (control pH ≤ 7), salt, and detergent.
5. Before use this UR 1929 Wet Rubbing Fastness Enhancer, make ensure the fabric is completely desized to avoid affecting the wet rubbing fastness.
6. If a large amount of foam is generated in the padding machine during prolonged use, the foam should be removed promptly, or the padding machine should be cleaned and the working solution replaced.
