UR 3872, Denim Fluffy Silicone Oil
UR3872 Denim Softening Silicone Oil is a high-performance organosilicon finishing agent specifically designed for denim fabrics. It imparts a soft, fluffy, and full hand feel to the fabric, while enhancing wearing comfort and visual appeal.
Its unique molecular structure forms a uniform film on the fiber surface, providing both smoothness and elasticity. This results in treated denim fabric that has a three-dimensional feel while maintaining excellent drape and resilience. The product is suitable for pre-shrinking, setting, or post-finishing padding processes, and is compatible with conventional resins and color-fixing processes.
It is easy to use and offers excellent stability. It is primarily used in garment washing factories and fabric finishing plants for denim jeans, jackets, and casual wear, and is suitable for cotton, cotton-stretch, Tencel blends, and other denim-type fabrics.

Introduction
UR 3872, Denim Fluffy Silicone Oil, is a block terpolymer multi-modified organosilicone polymer, suitable for hand feel finishing of blended fabrics such as denim, polyester, and cotton, imparting a fluffy and soft feel to the fabric.
Typical Properties
● Appearance: Colorless to yellow transparent viscous liquid (will turn yellow upon prolonged storage)
● pH: 5.0-6.0
● Stability: Resistant to dilute acids and bases, stable to electrolytes and hard water.
● Ionicity: Weakly cationic
Features and Advantages
● Provides excellent bulking effect on cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics.
● Particularly suitable for bulking and softening treatment of denim fabrics, including composite denim and T/C denim.
● Excellent compatibility; can be used alone or in combination with other softeners.
● Suitable for immersion process for denim fabrics, and padding process for other fabrics.
Application Scope
UR 3872, Denim Fluffy Silicone Oil, is suitable for hand-feel finishing of denim, cotton, rayon, and blended fabrics
Usage and Dosage
Dipping method: Dosage 1-3% (o.w.f), 40℃ × 15-20 min, dewatering, drying, and setting.
Padding method: 10-30 g/L, padding (one dip and one squeeze) → setting at 150-170℃.
(Users should adjust the specific usage and dosage according to actual conditions.)

Storage and Shelf Life
Product keeps valid for 6 months, and shall store the product in cool and dry place.
Precautions
1. Residual alkali in textiles and the pH of the water will affect the finishing effect; therefore, the textiles must be thoroughly cleaned before finishing.
2. The water used for the working solution should be tap water with a hardness of ≤200 ppm. Groundwater or river water must be treated before use
3. Observe the condition of the padding trough during use: if excessive lint appears, change the material and clean the trough.
4. Although this product is compatible with most auxiliaries, for safety reasons, its compatibility should be tested before mixing and using them together.
